 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. GREAT NEWS: OUR BILL FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A FEDERAL MEDICAL CENTER IN ONITSHA HAS JUST BEEN PASSED- STELLA ODUAH!

It is with immense gratitude to God that I announce the passage of my Bill for the establishment of a Federal Medical Center to be established in Onitsha, Anambra State.

Indeed, this is a victory for Constituents of Anambra North who will no longer have to travel long distances to access the kinds of medical opportunities a Federal Medical Center avails.

May I seize this opportunity to thank my colleagues at the red chambers for not only giving a listening ear to my passionate appeal but ensuring the right thing was eventually done.

I now look forward to the day my bill for the Establishment of a South East Development Commission is passed into law and God willing, it shall happen!
