 U.S Finalizes $20,000 Visa Bond Policy Affecting Nigeria and 49 Other Nations The United States government has officially formalized its visa bond policy, making it a permanent measure that could require travelers from 50 designated countries, including Nigeria, to pay a refundable bond of up to $20,000 before receiving certain visas. First introduced as a pilot scheme in 2025, the policy targets applicants seeking B1 and B2 visas, which are designated for business and tourism. According to the U.S. Department of State, the initiative is designed to bolster compliance with local immigration laws and drastically reduce visa overstay rates. TEARS  FLOW AS HON OKECHUKWU,  GOES TO ETERNAL REST.


Anambra State Governor; Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo, his deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly; Rt Hon Uche Okafor Episani and principal members of the house, members of Anambra State Executive Council and relatives, earlier today were at St Patrick Catholic Church Isuofia.

The funeral mass was celebrated by Cardinal Ebere Okpalaeke who lamented the wickedness that has  overtaken the world that some people don't have any value anymore for human lives.

The eldest of the Okoye family; Mr Emmanuel Okoye thanked those that squeezed time out of their busy schedules to honour Late Hon Okechukwu Okoye and commiserate with the family at this critical time.

Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo assured the family that all the culprits to this horrible act must be brought to book.

He further appealed to Anambra State House of Assembly under the leadership of Rt Dr Hon Uche Okafor Episani to ensure they remember to support the immediate family of their late honourable colleague.

He added that the state government under his leadership will continue their onslaught against criminal elements, kidnapping syndicate who now trades on human blood to make money. He equally assured of his support to the family.

May the soul of Late Hon Okechukwu Okoye rest in the bosom of the Lord.
