 Legendary actor Manoj Kumar dies at 87: ‘Roti Kapada Aur Makaan’ director breathes his last in Mumbai Manoj Kumar, the Bollywood actor and filmmaker, renowned for his patriotic films, passed away at the age of 87 at Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. The cause of his death was identified as cardiogenic shock due to acute myocardial infarction, according to medical reports. The medical reports confirmed that apart from a severe heart attack that took away his life, Manoj had been battling decompensated liver cirrhosis for the past few months, ANI reported. Following deteriorating health condition, he was admitted to the hospital on February 21, 2025. Popularly known as ‘Bharat Kumar,’ Manoj Kumar was an exceptional director and actor who was honoured with National Film Award.  RUMORED PLANNED ATTACK ON LAGOS STATE CP ALABI ASSURES LAGOSIANS OF ADEQUATE SECURITY

The Lagos State Police Command is not unmindful of

intelligence reports suggesting that Lagos State could be
on the radar of some persons planning attacks across the

country.

To this end, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State

Command, CP Abiodun Alabi, fdc has placed the State
Intelligence Bureau (SIB) of the Command on high alert

alongside all rea Commanders, Divisional Police Officers
and Tactical Commanders, all in a bid to ensure that any
possible planned attack is promptly and decisively nipped

in the bud.

The Command is also working closely with sister security
agencies to ensure that no person or group of persons
succeed in destabilizing the peace and serenity enjoyed
by the good people of Lagos State.

CP Alabi uses this medium to allay the fears of Lagosians

and assure them that all human, material and operational
resources have been fully and optimally deployed across

the length and breadth of the state, especially at border
towns, towards ensuring there is absolutely no breach of

peace

Consequet upon the carefully laid down security plans/
strategies, all residents of Lagos State are urged to go
about their lawtul duties without panic or fear. Lagosians
are equally enjoined to remain very vigilant and report

SUspicious movements and persons to security agencies.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
