 KADIRS Warns Residents Against Fake Revenue Collectors, Introduces E-Demand Notice As Sole Payment Authorization The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has cautioned taxpayers and residents of Kaduna State against making revenue payments without first obtaining an official E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice), warning that fraudsters may exploit outdated payment processes to defraud the public. In a public announcement issued on Thursday, KADIRS said the move forms part of its ongoing efforts to automate revenue collection and enhance transparency across the state.  The agency disclosed that manual demand notices previously used for Local Government revenue collection have been phased out and are no longer recognized. According to KADIRS, the E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice) has officially replaced the former Local Government Harmonized Demand Notice and is now the only valid document for on-the-spot taxpayer assessment through the state's Central Billing System. LASG INVESTIGATES PALM AVENUE BUILDING COLLAPSE


The Lagos State Government is investigating the collapse of a building on 2/4 Oye Sonuga Street, Palm  Avenue, Mushin, stressing that whoever is indicted in the incident will be severely punished.

A statement signed by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Engr. Omotayo Bamgbose-Martins, after his unscheduled visit to the site of the incident,  said, that the four-floor building, which collapsed on Friday, is about 40 years old. 

He has also directed that the adjoining building be pulled down for safety reasons, adding that efforts are on to rescue those who might have been trapped in the rubble.

Noting that the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) and the Lagos State Materials Testing Laboratory have been directed to unravel the cause of the collapse, Bamgbose-Martins informed that the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency is leading the rescue operations.
