  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. Submerged Communities In Anambra West Council Cry Out For Help.



People from the coastal communities in Anambra West Council area are crying out for urgent help from government at all levels to save them from floods which have submerged their communities.

They cried out for help when the team of Anambra State Emeergency Management Agency, SEMA and National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA visited the communities for on the spot assessment.

The communities visited include Odeh, Igbede, Odekpe, Odomagwu, Igbokenyi among others.
