  President Bola Tinubu has identified the creative economy as a pivotal element of his administration’s economic diversification agenda, reaffirming his commitment to positioning Nigeria’s creative sector as a driving force for global influence. The President stated this at the launch of the 2024 Abuja International Carnival at Eagle Square, Abuja. President Tinubu, represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, said the carnival reaffirms the essence of who Nigerians are—”a people of culture, a people of art, a people of colour, and a people of shared values”. CULT CLASH: 5 DEAD IN RIVERS STATE AFTER A CULT CLASH AT ABUJA HOUSING ESTATE. (PHOTO).


The Rivers state police command has confirmed that Rival cult clash resulted in the death of five persons at Abuja Housing Estate, Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State over the weekend.


Spokesperson of the rivers state police command Grace Koko revealed in a statement   that the shootout that ensued was between the invaders suspected to be members of the Greenland cult group and their rival, the Iceland cult group which resulted in the death of five persons and a woman who sustained gunshot injuries.


Grace KokoO however, assured that the Police’s tactical units had deployed to the area to restore peace and order just as investigations were on.


She gave the names of those killed as Chukwujeku Kingsley, 36 years, Chubuike ThankGod, 23 years and three others yet to be identified.
