 South Korean police seek arrest warrant for Hybe chairman Bang Si-Hyuk over alleged $100 million investor fraud scheme    South Korean police are seeking an arrest warrant for Bang Si-Hyuk, the billionaire music executive behind K-pop powerhouse Hybe and BTS, as part of an expanding investigation into allegations that he improperly benefited from an investor scheme involving more than $100 million. Authorities said they have asked prosecutors to pursue a court warrant for Bang’s arrest as they continue probing claims that he misled investors in 2019. Investigators allege he told investors that Hybe had no plans for an initial public offering, leading them to sell shares to a private equity fund. The company later went public, and police suspect a separate arrangement may have resulted in Bang receiving a substantial payout tied to post-IPO stock profits. ... Makes Alternative Provision for Urgent Cases During Break

Lagos State Chief Judge, Justice Kazeem Alogba has announced that Lagos Judiciary will begin its Y2022 Christmas vacation on December 23, 2022, and resume work on Tuesday, 3rd of January, 2023.

A release signed by Acting Chief Registrar, Mr. Tajudeen Elias said the Lagos State Chief Judge, Kazeem Alogba had approved the vacation pursuant to order 49 rule 4(c) and 5 of the High Court of Lagos State (Civil Procedure) Rules 2019.

Elias added that arrangements for dealing with urgent cases during the Christmas vacation are that each judge will deal with all urgent applications related to any substantive case already assigned to him/her.

According to him, “Any urgent application (the substantive case of which has not already been assigned) will be dealt with by the judge to whom the application is specifically assigned.”

“Notwithstanding the provisions of Order 49, Rule 4 (supra) any case or matter may be heard by a judge during the period of the Christmas vacation where such a case or matter is urgent, provided that the conditions prescribed by Order 49 Rule 5 (supra) shall be observed and complied with”, he added.
