  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. The delegation comprising of former President of Ghana John Mahama, former Beninese President Boni Yayi, former President if Sierra Leone Ernest Bai Koroma, former President of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta,  former Vice President of The Gambia, Fatoumata Tambajang, former Burkinabe Prime Minister and President of the Economic Community of West African States Kadre Ouedraogo, and  former Deputy Chair of the African Union, Dr. Erastus Mwencha had earlier met with  H. E Atiku Abubakar and  H. E Rabiu Musa  Kwankwaso and other stakeholders  to sue for peace in the interest of our nation during and after the elections.
