 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. 'I KILLED HER AFTER I SPENT THE N150,000 SHE GAVE ME TO GET HER AN APARTMENT' - ESTATE AGENT WHO KILLED BENUE VARSITY STUDENT




The police in Benue state have arrested the suspected killer of an undergraduate of the Benue state University, Erekaa Dooshima, who went missing in February and was found dead days after.

Benue info-pedia, earlier reported that the deceased was found dead on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, three days after she went missing.

Following the circumstances surrounding her death, the police swung into action and in the course of its investigation, arrested an estate agent, Shagbaor Ugosor Japhet, who she gave the sum of N150,000 to, for him to help her secure an apartment.

Benue rights activist Mr Ukan kurugh reports that following his arrest and interrogation, the suspect confessed to killing Dooshima.

The suspect said that he used the money to stake a bet and when he couldn’t provide the house or the money, he called the 25-year-old lady and hacked her to death.

‘When she arrived at the dark corner of the street where I called her to come, I cut her with a machete several times leading to her death.

‘After killing her, I took her body with her iPhone and dumped her body on the street to make it look like someone else killed her .‘

Unfortunately for Shagbaor, the POS machine Dooshima used to make the transfer to him was tracked and the suspect arrested.

Police said he will soon have his day in court.
