  Oshiomhole Convinced Us To Make Obaseki Governor – Philip Shaibu Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has disclosed that his choice to support his former boss, Godwin Obaseki, stemmed from his respect for Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Naija News, Shaibu shared his doubts about Obaseki during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program on Tuesday. Shaibu admitted that he lacked confidence in Obaseki's leadership even before they took office on November 12, 2016. He explained that despite his initial hesitations, he ultimately backed Obaseki out of respect and based on the assurances provided by Oshiomhole. He stated, “Obaseki is not a politician. We made him governor because Oshiomhole persuaded us. 'I KILLED HER AFTER I SPENT THE N150,000 SHE GAVE ME TO GET HER AN APARTMENT' - ESTATE AGENT WHO KILLED BENUE VARSITY STUDENT




The police in Benue state have arrested the suspected killer of an undergraduate of the Benue state University, Erekaa Dooshima, who went missing in February and was found dead days after.

Benue info-pedia, earlier reported that the deceased was found dead on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, three days after she went missing.

Following the circumstances surrounding her death, the police swung into action and in the course of its investigation, arrested an estate agent, Shagbaor Ugosor Japhet, who she gave the sum of N150,000 to, for him to help her secure an apartment.

Benue rights activist Mr Ukan kurugh reports that following his arrest and interrogation, the suspect confessed to killing Dooshima.

The suspect said that he used the money to stake a bet and when he couldn’t provide the house or the money, he called the 25-year-old lady and hacked her to death.

‘When she arrived at the dark corner of the street where I called her to come, I cut her with a machete several times leading to her death.

‘After killing her, I took her body with her iPhone and dumped her body on the street to make it look like someone else killed her .‘

Unfortunately for Shagbaor, the POS machine Dooshima used to make the transfer to him was tracked and the suspect arrested.

Police said he will soon have his day in court.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
