 PRESS RELEASE  National Dialogue on Power in Health Sector: FG Sets Up Committee To Resolve Electricity Challenges In Public Healthcare Facilities  The Federal Government has inaugurated an Implementation Committee for National Stakeholders Dialogue on Power in the Health sector, aimed at achieving sustainable electrification of public healthcare facilities. The primary objective of the national dialogue is to amongst others enhance public- private partnerships to ensure a steady electricity supply to public health institutions.  It will also identify alternative and sustainable solutions by exploring renewable energy options, backup power systems and, energy-efficient solutions to enhance power reliability in tertiary and other health facilities across the  country. Corruption in Power Sector affects Economic Growth ā€“ ICPC Chairman


The Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Professor Bolaji Owasanoye, SAN, OFR, has reiterated the need for agencies in the power sector to stand up against corruption, saying that the menace in the sector affects economic development.


The Chairman made this statement when a delegation of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) paid him a courtesy visit at the Commissionā€™s headquarters in Abuja today to seek partnership and collaboration among the two agencies.
