 South Korean police seek arrest warrant for Hybe chairman Bang Si-Hyuk over alleged $100 million investor fraud scheme    South Korean police are seeking an arrest warrant for Bang Si-Hyuk, the billionaire music executive behind K-pop powerhouse Hybe and BTS, as part of an expanding investigation into allegations that he improperly benefited from an investor scheme involving more than $100 million. Authorities said they have asked prosecutors to pursue a court warrant for Bang’s arrest as they continue probing claims that he misled investors in 2019. Investigators allege he told investors that Hybe had no plans for an initial public offering, leading them to sell shares to a private equity fund. The company later went public, and police suspect a separate arrangement may have resulted in Bang receiving a substantial payout tied to post-IPO stock profits. Update: NSIB, NCAA Begin Investigation Into Aircraft Incident 

Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) says, investigation has commenced into the  incident involving a B737-400 with Nationality and Registration Marks 5N-MBD operated by Max Air.

The aircraft, with 144 passengers and Six crew members onboard was en-route Abuja from Yola when it had a tyre burst while landing on the runway of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, Nigeria.

According to a statement by spokesman for the NSIB, Tunji Oketunbi says, first responders arrived at the accident site and evacuated the passengers, adding that there was no injury or fatalities.

As investigation commences, the NSIB, solicit information from the general public in form of pictures, video or recording evidences to help assist in conducting a comprehensive investigation. 

In a related development, the Director General, Civil Aviation, Captain Musa Nuhu has assured the traveling public that, the authority and other aviation agencies would spare no efforts to ensure the continued safe flight operations in Nigeria as it has done over the years.

He however frowned on the sensational media reports of the incident, classifying it as a crash landing thus creating panic and concerns amongst the traveling public. 

Captain Nuhu, urged the media to always seek clarifications and information to make accurate reports on any situation.
