  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous.  Scores Killed, Dozens Injured In India Train Crash 


NEW DELHI (Worthy News-Telegram)-- At least 120 people were killed and more than 800 injured when two trains collided in India’s eastern state of Odisha, local media and officials said. Rescue and search operations were still underway late Friday local time, footage monitored by Worthy News showed.


One of the trains involved in the collision was reportedly the Shalimar-Chennai Coromandel Express. The crash comes at a time of pressure on the government to improve safety. Several hundred accidents occur every year on India’s railways, which with 40,000 miles (64,000km) of track, is the world’s largest network under one management. Two trains collided near the megacity of Delhi in August 1995, killing 358 people in the worst train accident in India’s history.
