 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. Former Governor of Anambra State, Etiaba Visits Women Affairs Commissioner, Commends her on speedy response to Sexual and Gender Based Violence cases.

A former governor of Anambra state, Dame Virgy Etiaba has visited the Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs Ify Obinabo in her office in Awka.

The visit was to commend her on her numerous achievements and speedy response to cases of sexual and gender based violence in the state.

Dame Etiaba commended her efforts in making sure that the vulnerable and less privileged children, women and girls in the state get justice whenever they are trampled upon.

The Former female governor explained that she's happy how the current government is pursing justice for everyone especially using the Child's Right Act law which she signed into Law during her administration as yardstick. 

Responding, Hon Obinabo thanked the first female governor of the state for her kind gesture and noted that she's more motivated to do more knowing that she has her backing.

The Women Affairs boss noted that it is the heart desire of Mrs Nonye Soludo to see that every child maltreated gets access to justice and have a better life in the state.

High point of the visit was the handover of a book written by the former governor to Hon Obinabo.
