  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. Sound Sultan’s Wife Remembers Singer on Father’s Day

Farida Fasasi, wife of the late singer Sound Sultan, has remembered her husband on Father’s day. 

On Sunday, she posted a photo of her husband on Instagram, appreciating him for the love and care he showed the family while he was alive.

She wrote, “Aboo Thank you for all you’ve done on Earth and what you continue to do in Heaven. Men like you deserve to be honoured on special days like these. Happy father's day baby we miss you.”

Sound Sultan died of throat cancer on Sunday, July 11, 2021 in the US and he was buried there according to Islamic rites.
