  Sudan: At least 89 killed in paramilitary attack At least 89 have been killed in a cluster of villages in the Sudanese city of Omdurman by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) a Sudanese human rights organization has said, AP reported. Many more were injured in the attack that saw the paramilitary group carrying out random artillery shelling and direct gunfire. The Emergency Lawyer’s Association has accused the RSF of violating "human rights and international law," the statement added that its forces engaged in widespread looting of homes and shops, arrested several young men from the villages "and forced them at gunpoint to transport the looted goods." Many have fled to the Jabal Awlia area, in hopes of finding safety. WHATSAPP INTRODUCES SCREEN SHARING FOR VIDEO CALLS.(PHOTOS).

𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗭𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗴, the founder of Meta says the company has introduced a new WhatsApp feature with the ability to screen share during video calls.

AT3 Resources, a consulting firm managing Meta in Nigeria, said Zuckerberg made the announcement on his Facebook page on Tuesday.

It said that the latest update offered users the ability to share their screens in real-time during conversations

According to Meta, by clicking on the designated ‘Share’ icon, users can choose between sharing a specific application or their entire screen.

It said that this function opened up variety of possibilities, from collaborating on work documents to browsing through photos with family, planning trips, shopping online with friends, or providing technical assistance to grandparents.

It said that the screen sharing adds a dynamic dimension to calls which enables users to provide a live view of their screen content during conversations.

“This feature is particularly useful for both personal and professional scenarios.

“Also, WhatsApp users can now enjoy video calls in landscape mode on smartphones.

“This enhancement offers a wider and more immersive viewing and sharing experience during video calls,” it said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the platform, initially, introduced video calling for its users in November 2016.

Since then, the platform has consistently added features to enhance the user experience and meet evolving communication needs.

In addition, WhatsApp is rolling out message editing support for media with captions on iOS devices.

This feature allows users to edit messages that include media, offering a greater level of control over their communication.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
