 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  Borno Gov't Presents over N350M For 2023 NECO Examination 


Borno State government has presented a cheque of three hundred and fifty three million two hundred thousand naira to the National Examinations Council NECO for payment of 2023 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations SSCE candidates in the state.


 Commissioner for Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Alhaji Lawan Wakilbe present it at a ceremony in Maiduguri.


He said the cheque is for the twenty two thousand, four hundred and fourteen candidates of Public Schools who sat for 2023 SSCE across the twenty seven local government areas of the State.  


According to him, this year's examination was extended to seven additional Local Government Areas of Damboa, Gwoza, Dikwa, Mafa, Monguno, Gubio and Mobbar hitherto suspended due the insurgency. 


The Commissioner informed the NECO Coordinator that Borno state government has fulfilled all its obligations to the Examinations body from 2019 to date and expressed happiness with the Council has keyed into the resettlement drive of the government. 


State Coordinator National Examinations Council NECO, Aliyu Jajere lauded the state government for its contribution to the development of education through prompt payment of its obligations.


He also commended the resilience of the students, teachers as well as the Commissioner for conducting a hitch free examinations particularly at the newly resettled Local governments.

            

Alhaji Jajere also acknowledged the contribution and logistic support of local government councils for smooth conduct of the exercise.
