 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MINISTER OF STATE FOR PETROLEUM RESOURCES (GAS) AS CO-CHAIRMAN OF NCDMB GOVERNING COUNCIL In line with his avowed commitment to establish a more efficient, targeted, and consistent approval process for unique oil and gas projects in the country, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the Co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). This is also to further ensure effective oversight of the gas aspect of the nation's assets. The President remains committed to unlocking Nigeria's immense gas potential to stimulate industrial development, job creation, and sustainable economic growth. LEKKI CONSERVATION CENTRE: LASG RESTATES COMMITMENT TO SAFETY OF ALL TOURISTS, CITIZENS 


The Lagos State Government has observed with displeasure a viral video by a concerned tourist on a broken segment of the long canopy walkway within the Lekki Conservation Centre.


While inspecting the centre, officials of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture led by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Idris Aregbe, in conjunction with the Lagos State Safety Commission, Mr. Lanre Mojola, discovered that the broken segment had already been repaired and restored to normal.


However, the site would remain shut for further routine maintenance.


The Director,-General of the Centre, Prof Mathew Onoja, appreciated the State Government for its intervention after the viral video, which first circulated in December. He said the centre will remain safety conscious and will abide by the directives of the State Government 


The Ministry would like to assure the general public that the Lagos State Government is committed to the safety and well-being of citizens at all tourist locations within the state and would take further steps to see that all safety standards are met before the centre is reopened.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
