 STATEHOUSE PRESS STATEMENT PRESIDENT TINUBU'S MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE TO CHIMAMANDA ADICHIE AND HER FAMILY   With a deep sense of grief, I condole with Ms Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, her husband, Dr Ivara Esege, and the entire family on the passing of their son, Nkanu Nnamdi.   As a parent myself who has suffered the loss of a loved one, no grief is as devastating as losing a child.   I empathise with the family at this difficult time, and I mourn this sad loss with them.   Ms Adichie is a literary icon who has brought joy and light to many homes globally, and I pray she and her family find strength in the Almighty in this trying hour.   My prayers are with the family.   Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria January 8, 2026

 Iyabo Ojo shows love to filmmaker, Seun Egbegbe as he pitches tent with her, distances himself from Lizzy Anjorin

Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo has declared her love for Seun Egbegbe for pitching tent with her over Lizzy Anjorin.


We reported on Tuesday that Iyabo and Lizzy had reignited their beef after Lizzy was accused of defrauding a vendor at the Lagos Island market, Idumota.


Videos that made rounds online showed the Yoruba star being embroiled in a gold jewelry theft on Lagos Island. Lizzy took to her Instagram Live to debunk the reports and blamed it on people like Iyabo Ojo trying to set her up.


Iyabo Ojo, reacting to the news celebrated as she shared a video of her dancing and drinking beer. In a follow-up post, she announced a giveaway to her fans stating that she doesn’t do fake alerts.


Lizzy in a bid to explain further what happened, had dragged Seun Egbegbe, claiming that Iyabo was among the people who set him up.


Seun Egbegbe had reached out to a close friend of Iyabo Ojo, distancing himself from Lizzy. He made it clear that Iyabo wasn’t among those who set him up. He noted how during the scandal, Lizzy was among those who said he committed the offence, now that is in a similar situation, she is changing the narrative.


He further stated that if Iyabo wanted him to do a video to debunk it, he was 100 percent ready as he was loyal to her.


Reacting to it, Iyabo called him her brother as she asserted that she knew he was loyal. Calling Lizzy a nuisance, she declared her love for him.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
