FEDERAL MINISTRY OF INFORMATION AND NATIONAL ORIENTATION  PRESS STATEMENT  BINANCE FALSE CLAIM ON BRIBERY DIVERSIONARY  The Federal Government of Nigeria is aware of attempts by Binance to launder its impaired image as an organisation that does not play by the rules and laws guiding business conduct in sovereign nations. In a blog post that has now been published by many international media organisations, in an apparent well-coordinated public relations effort, Binance Chief Executive Officer Richard Teng made false allegations of bribery against unidentified Nigerian government officials who he claimed demanded $150m in cryptocurrency payments to resolve the ongoing criminal investigation against the company.  This claim by Binance CEO lacks any iota of substance.  238 students face expulsion at IMSU over fake admission letters

A total of 238 Imo State University, IMSU, students have been recommended for expulsion from the institution due to their display of forged admission letters.

The university said on Wednesday in a press release signed by Ralph Njoku, its Public Relations Officer, PRO, that the impacted students had fraudulently hacked into the IMSU and Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, websites with the help of their parents and guardians.

Some of the candidates had then printed phony admission letters and were pretending to be Imo State University, Owerri, students.

“The said candidates who are flaunting fake admission letters are not our students,” the notification states.

“It is important for parents to understand that these con artists’ actions have seriously threatened the futures of their children and wards.

“We know our students who are legally admitted into the university but names of those who are fraudulently parading fake admission letters have been published in some local tabloids for the public to take note of.

“The institution is still investigating how the two hundred and thirty-eight students were illegally admitted into Imo State University.”
