 A Mother's Day Nightmare in Princeton, Illinois. A 3-year-old boy was struck by gunfire as police burst into a barricaded room, ending a frightening hostage situation. Multiple agencies responded to the Hummingbird Mobile Home Park in Princeton, Illinois, on Sunday, May 10th at 2:42 a.m. The initial call went out as a domestic disturbance but officers discovered much worse.  42-year-old, Anthony Rodriguez, had barricaded himself in a room armed with a knife. Anthony had taken several people as hostages, including Aurora Almanza and her 3-year-old son.  Multiple agencies were on the scene, including the Bureau County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police and  the Princeton Police Department.  Authorities attempted to negotiate but ultimately rushed the room when they heard screaming coming from inside.  Officials have reported that officers fired shots as they entered the room. Millions died from every corner of the globe as there was no immediate known treatment to the Lethal disease. lt became apparent that even in the 21st Century and with all our Sophistication we were ill-prepared for it .


lt is hoped that with this Book, HUMANITY does not forget in a hurry how we overcame, that Health is indeed wealth, that Preparation is Key, that Politics should not override our common purpose or goals. There is also the need to invest. Invest in our health care system, infrastructure and Research, invest in family and relationships, invest in financial literacy and balance out our lives, Work, Career and priorities. At end of the day, LIFE IS FRAGILE, LIFE IS SHORT. 


Though a somewhat humbling experience : Covid 19 experience shows the Resiliency, Dedication ,Courage of human nature and like the Phoenix will always rise again. Dark nights indeed turn to day.


A potpourri of experiences and the world never remained the same again. May the Lessons of Resiliency learnt continue to be a touch stone to us all encourage us live fully and mindfully and brilliantly .
