SENATE ADJOURNS EMERGENCY PLENARY ON STATE POLICE OVER REP’S DEATH. The Senate today suspended consideration of the highly anticipated State Police Bill and all other legislative business at its emergency plenary session to honour the memory of Hon. Prior to remedies, Nigerians were only singing reggae(RAS KIMONO, MANDATORS, EVI EDNA, ORITS WILIKI, etc) or we were singing highlife (OLIVER D COK, BRIGHT CHIMEZIE, etc) or JUJU MUSIC (SIR SHINA PETERS, PASUMA WONDER, KOLINTON, BARRISTER, SALAWA ABENI, etc) These were Nigerian kind of music, and then we listened to American Hip-hop, rap, RnB, etc.

Many of you were small children and didn't know of this truth.

Without IDRIS ABDULKARIM, EDDIE REMEDY and TONY TETUILA, there would not have been the Nigerian music industry of today.

GIVE HONOUR TO WHOM HONOUR IS DUE."
