The Edo State House of Assembly has removed Hon. Natasha Osawaru Irobosa of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from her position as Minority Leader, marking a significant shift in the chamber’s leadership structure. The announcement, made on Monday, is part of a broader restructuring triggered by recent political defections. Hon. Charity Aiguobarueghian, also of the PDP, was similarly stripped of her role as Majority Leader. Meanwhile, Hon. Yekini Idaiye, another PDP lawmaker, lost his position as Chief Whip. Despite the shake-up, PDP lawmakers Hon. Blessing Agbebaku and Hon. Maria Edeko have held onto their roles as Speaker and Deputy Speaker, respectively—for now. The changes stem from a letter submitted by Jarret Tenebe, acting chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, following the defection of four PDP lawmakers to the APC.  Why I choose independency – Dayo Amusa

Actress Dayo Amusa has shared her accountability coping mechanism on Instagram, pairing it with her independent lifestyle.

The movie star, whose personal life is away from social media, said she is independent because she takes responsibility for her life and refuses to play the blame game on anyone or make others her scapegoat for her failures.

She added that she doesn’t allow the culture or religion to define her.

According to her, just because she is a woman doesn’t mean she is less than a man and her skin color doesn’t make her any less beautiful.

Dayo made it known that she is empowered to choose her companions, beliefs, system, and standards based on what she feels is right for her.

She noted how she can stand on her own if need be, but she doesn’t boast about it or make others feel small just because they can’t be independent.

Dayo, however, made it known that her being independent doesn’t mean she doesn’t need love, nor does she like going home alone, hates men, or can’t submit.

The movie star said that she wants to be cared for, and pampered by her partner and desires to have doors opened for her and to be treated to dinner, be protected and covered.

“I am independent because I take responsibility for my life. I refuse to play the blame game on anyone or make other people scapegoats for my failures. I do not allow culture or religion to define me. Just because I am a woman doesn’t mean I am less than a man. Just because my skin may be darker or lighter than someone else’s doesn’t make me any less beautiful.

“I am empowered to choose my companions, belief system & standards, based on what I feel is right for me. I can stand on my own if need be, but I do not boast about it or make others feel small just because they can’t. Being independent doesn’t mean I do not need love. It doesn’t mean I like going home alone. It doesn’t mean I hate men or that I won’t submit. It doesn’t mean I will stop being feminine, sexy & ladylike. I still want to be cared for & pampered by my partner.

“I desire to have doors opened & be treated to dinner. I still want to be protected & covered with assurance that everything is going to be okay. YES, I Love my independence,” she wrote.
