An Idaho community (Pocatello) is outraged after police shoot a disabled teen 9 times only a mere 12 SECONDS after exiting their vehicles.  The teen was lying on the ground with a knife and the community wants the public to know a sturdy 4 foot fence separated the officers from the teen who suffers from cerebral palsy and has the mental capacity of a 5-year-old.  17-year-old Victor Perez remains in critical condition after an incident this weekend that has left an entire Idaho community questioning the officers actions. Victor is a nonverbal autistic teen who is physically disabled and suffers from cerebral palsy. The shocking incident unfolded on Saturday when Victor was involved in a domestic disturbance with his family. It should be noted the family did not call the police but rather a neighbor who was watching the events unfold. The caller stated an intoxicated man was periodically chasing a man and woman with a knife in the yard of their home. Victor however was not...

ā€˜World has moved on, but horrifying for usā€™; 91 Chibok schoolgirlsā€™ parents write Remi Tinubu

The parents of 91 Chibok schoolgirls still in captivity after their abduction in 2014, have written to the wife of the President, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, seeking her intervention.

The parents made the appeal in an open letter. It was entitled: ā€œA Plea for Justice and Remembering the Chibok Girls ā€“ A Letter to Her Excellency Mrs. Remi Tinubuā€, on Wednesday.

In the letter, they lamented that the circumstances had weighed heavily on them in the last decade.

The letter was signed by Yana Galang and Mallam Zanna for and on behalf of the Chibok Parents Association and those whose children are yet to return.

They noted that while the world might have moved on, ā€œfor us, the pain remains raw. And the wounds refuse to heal.

ā€œWe are haunted by the memories of that night when our girls were taken from us. And every day we pray for their safe return.

ā€œWe have not lost hope, Your Excellency. We have not given up on our daughters. And will continue to fight for their freedom until they are brought back to us.

ā€œWe urge you to use your influence and your platform to ensure that the plight of the Chibok girls is never forgotten.ā€

Also, they asked ā€œthat justice is served, and that those responsible for this heinous act are held accountable.ā€

ā€¦ ask for audience with First Lady

The parents also ā€œhumbly ask for an opportunity to meet with you. To seek your assistance in advocating the safe return of our daughters. We ask for your empathy and your understanding as we navigate through this unimaginable pain.

ā€œWe ask for your commitment to standing by us and never forgetting the 276 girls who were taken from their school that night.

ā€œThe world may have moved on. But for us, the pain remains raw and the wounds refuse to heal. We are haunted by the memories of that night when our girls were taken from us. And every day we pray for their safe return.

ā€œWe have not lost hope. Your Excellency, we have not given up on our daughters, and we will continue to fight for their freedom until they are brought back to us.

ā€œWe urge you to use your influence and your platform to ensure that the plight of the Chibok girls is never forgotten.

Support

ā€œOn this solemn occasion, we ask for your support in keeping the spotlight on the Chibok girls and their families. We ask for your solidarity in our quest for truth and closure.

ā€œWe ask for your compassion and your commitment. This is to ensure that no other parent has to endure the pain that we have suffered for a decade.

ā€œAs we light candles and say prayers for our missing daughters in Chibok on April 14, 2024, we hold on to the hope that one day they will be reunited with us.

ā€œWe hope that it touches your heart and inspires you to take action on behalf of the Chibok girls and their families. May our voices be heard, our daughters found, and may justice be served,ā€ the letter read parts.
