The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence.  Banditry now an ‘industry’ in Zamfara State, says Police Commissioner


The Commissioner of Police in Zamfara State, Muhammad Dalijan Shehu, has made a startling revelation, describing banditry as an “industry” in the state.


Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, June 12, Shehu highlighted the complexity of the situation, noting the involvement of various individuals, including a former local government chairman and a district head, in banditry activities.


“We can say now banditry is an industry in Zamfara state,” Shehu stated, underscoring the severity of the issue.


He revealed that recent arrests included a member of the state House of Assembly, a district head, and a former local government chairman, demonstrating the broad spectrum of people involved in these criminal activities.


Highlighting the disturbing nature of the situation, Shehu mentioned that the district head arrested was found to be supplying drugs to the bandits.


“More alarming and more disturbing, is the involvement of a district head in supplying drugs to the bandits,” he emphasized.


The commissioner’s remarks shed light on the gravity of the banditry crisis in Zamfara State, revealing the depth of involvement across various segments of society.
