 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. TWO TEEN GIRLS PASSED AWAY IN HORRIFIC JET SKI ACCIDENT ON ILLINOIS LAKE. (PHOTO).

 2 teen girls pass away in horrific jet ski accident on Illinois lake.


The incident occurred Tuesday on Lake Marie in Antioch, Illinois. According to reports, 13-year-old Elle Kim, was the passenger on a jet ski driven by 16-year-old Sarina Vootkur. The two were traveling north at a high rate of speed near the channel that connects Lake Marie to Grass Lake.


At the same time a 55-year-old man was traveling westbound in a Sea Ray Cabin Cruiser with three other passengers. Eyewitnesses say due to the high rate of speed the girls were traveling there was no way the boater could avoid the crash.


Both girls were knocked unconscious and thrown into the water as a result of the crash. The boaters immediately pulled them aboard, called 911 and rendered what aid they could while transporting the girls to the shore with the help of a fellow boater.


 The two girls were transported to a nearby hospital where they sadly passed away as a result of blunt force trauma. 


This is a heartbreaking story and our thoughts are with everyone involved.
