It has come to the attention of the member representing Aba North and Aba South Federal constituency, House Of Representatives, Hon. Alex Ikwechegh (Onyeocha n’Aba) that some dubious persons have been going around collecting money from the unsuspecting public in the guise of empowering such people.
Hon. Ikwechegh wishes to state as follows:
1: He has never requested a dime from anyone for empowerment.
2: All his empowerment programmes have been fully funded by him at no cost to the beneficiaries.
3: Onyeocha n’Aba is using this medium to call on all Aba residents, businessmen, traders, market unions, cooperative societies to be on the lookout for such people and report to the Police for prompt action.
4: Hon. Ikwechegh is asking those who may have fallen victim to report to his constituency office, 59 Pounds Road by Georges, with evidence including the phone number of the scammers.
