 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence.  How Bandits Killed Church Cleric, One Other, Abducted Eight Persons In Kaduna Community


Gunmen suspected to be bandits have killed a pastor, Peter Shebayan, one other and abducted eight residents in Kaduna State.


The attack occurred at Pastor Shebayan’s mission station in Katul Crossing, within the Fadan Kamantra area of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, on the night of Sunday, August 11, 2024.


In a related incident, bandits attacked the Ruruma community in Kwassam, Kauru Local Government Area, killing Dr. Ishaya and abducting eight others.


A resident of the area, Benzene Godwin, disclosed that the gunmen raided the community in the early hours of Monday, August 12.


Some of the abducted victims identified as, Dan’iya Barau, Bitrust Dan’iya, Esther Magada, Buba Mu’azu Tanko, Philip, Joshua Cyrus, Bege Ezekiel, and Joffrey Ezekiel.


It was gathered that one of the victims managed to escape and return home.


However, the bandits were said to have stolen several items, including six motorcycles and 25 liters of fuel.


Efforts by SaharaReporters to reach the Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, for confirmation were unsuccessful.
