Jay-Z’s new limited-series wristwatch is worth $340,000 – starting price of a brand new 2024 Cadillac Celestiq.

The new limited-edition masterpiece inspired by the new $4.1 million Bugatti Tourbillon hyper sports car.

With few exceptions, such as the Jacob Bugatti Jean, most Bugatti watches feature a miniature reproduction of the car engine.

This also applies to the Bugatti Tourbillon watch, which includes a replica of V16 engine block.

Wristwatch features a V16 engine block automation, a 30-second double-pace flying tourbillon and a twin power reserve as, well as retrograde hours and minutes that start at zero to mimic an RPM counter.

Jacob says the watch took around 18 months to complete, but it was clearly worth the wait.

Last week, American rapper, Shawn Carter, known professionally as Jay-Z, was spotted rocking his latest timepiece, the Jacob&Co Bugatti Tourbillon during his appearance at Fanatics Fest in New York.

The 24-time Grammy winner is the first person to own the recently released limited-edition masterpiece designed by American jewelry and watch company, Jacob & Co., according to founder, Jacob Arabo.

“My dear friend @jayz was the first to own the 5 time zone watch. 25 years later, he’s the first to own the bugatti tourbillion,” Jacob Arabo wrote in a post shared on his Instagram page.

According to Jacob Arabo, Jay-Z was also the first to wear Five Time Zone, a multi-coloured quartz piece with four subdials (zones) that showed the time in New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo and Paris, which was introduced in the early 2000.

Jay-Z’s new limited-series wristwatch, developed over 18 months, is worth $340,000 – which is exactly the starting price of a brand new 2024 Cadillac Celestiq before the numerous bespoke options.

The Bugatti Tourbillon wristwatch reimagines the complexity and appearance of Bugatti’s latest hypercar, the new $4.1m Tourbillon – itself a limited-edition hypercar inspired by the world of horology.

Like the hypercar, this remarkable timepiece features a V16 engine block automation, a 30-second double-pace flying tourbillon, a twin power reserve as well as a retrograde hours and minutes that start at zero to mimic an RPM counter.
