Tanzania Ranked 2nd Least Corrupt in East Africa Under President Samia
Tanzania has been ranked as the second least corrupt country in East Africa under the leadership of President Samia Suluhu Hassan, according to a recent report by Transparency International. The report highlights significant progress in the country’s efforts to combat corruption, attributing much of this improvement to President Samia's administration's commitment to transparency and accountability.
Speaking on the findings, Transparency International's Regional Director for East Africa, Mulugeta Abebe, praised Tanzania’s strides in curbing corruption. "Under President Samia's leadership, Tanzania has made remarkable progress in reducing corruption, which is reflected in this year’s rankings," Abebe stated. He further commended the government for implementing robust anti-corruption measures and fostering a culture of integrity within public institutions.
President Samia's administration has been lauded both domestically and internationally for its efforts to enhance governance and reduce corruption. The improved ranking serves as a testament to the ongoing reforms and the government's dedication to creating a more transparent and accountable public sector in Tanzania.
