  President Bola Tinubu has identified the creative economy as a pivotal element of his administration’s economic diversification agenda, reaffirming his commitment to positioning Nigeria’s creative sector as a driving force for global influence. The President stated this at the launch of the 2024 Abuja International Carnival at Eagle Square, Abuja.  Police nab quack medical doctor for ‘killing’ patient in Nasarawa


Operatives of the Nasarawa State Police Command attached to Kadarko Division have arrested one Isa Usman, a quack medical doctor.


The suspect was nabbed on Wednesday at the Iyayi Village, Kadarko district of Keana Local Government Area, LGA of the state for allegedly procuring and administering Procaine Injection on one Zaki Yaka Ajohol which led to his death.


The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Ramhan Nansel made this known in a statement he issued on Wednesday.


According to the statement, preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect whose level of education is the primary school leaving certificate hails from Pindi village, Akko LGA of Gombe State.


The suspect claimed to have been trained at Asibitin Yusuf in Agyaragu, Obi LGA of the State.


He confessed to procuring and administering procaine injection on his victim for three days to treat typhoid.


On the fourth day, the suspect administered the same dose of injection which made the victim fall immediately after and became unconscious.


The victim, according to the PPRO was “was rushed to primary health care at Akeleku where he was confirmed dead. Consequently, some drugs and other medical implements were recovered from the suspect as an exhibit.


“The Commissioner of Police Umar Shehu Nadada has ordered the transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Lafia for further investigation and prosecution”.
