 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  An alleged rape and kidnapping suspect from Ramotsinyadi village to appear in court 


A 18-year-old male suspect will appear before Bolobedu Magistrate's Court on Monday 09 September 2024 facing charges of rape and kidnapping. 


He was arrested following alleged rape and kidnapping of a 14-year-old girl at Wally village, Mokwakwaila policing area, in Mopani District on Sunday, 01 September 2024 at about 20:00.


According to reports, the victim's father returned home from work on the specified date. He discover that her daughter was not home. He thought she was playing at the neighbors. 


The father went to bed, when he woke up the next day he was unable to find her in her bedroom. He became anxious. Every location she frequently visited, was searched but she was not there. 


He then reported the incident to the police. The victim was traced and found with the suspect at Ramotsinyadi village.


When asked why he held her there, he provide an unsatisfactory response, he was then arrested and detained at the police station. 


The docket was transferred to Tzaneen Family violence Child Protection and Sexual Offence Unit (FCS) for further investigation. 


The victim was taken to the hospital for medical attention, and expert results confirmed that she was raped.
