The Government categorically refutes claims of lopsidedness and emphasizes its unwavering commitment to the principles of fairness, equity, and national unity. All appointments are made in strict adherence to federal character principle, as enshrined in Section 14 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as Altered).  Why I Took A Break From Acting – Omotola Jalade

Popular Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, has opened up on the reason for her long absence from the movie industry.


The thespian explained that she needed to take a break from acting to relax, reflect and recharge her body.


She disclosed this on Friday via her Instagram page.


The veteran, who started her acting career at age 15, said that working non-stop for decades made her feel the need to unwind and revitalise.


She emphasised that taking time off is essential to maintaining her creative energy and passion for her craft.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
