 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms.  Why Humiliate Him Like This? – Seyi Law Queries EFCC Over Bobrisky’s Re-arrest


Nigerian comedian, Oluwaseyitan Aletile, also known as Seyi Law, has queried the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over the arrest of Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky.


We reported that the EFCC confirmed the re-arrest of Bobrisky, in Lagos


The prominent crossdresser took to his Instagram account to inform his followers about the incident, claiming he had sustained injuries during a confrontation with the immigration officers.


Bobrisky accused the EFCC of being behind his detention.


He posted, “Nigerians help me, EFCC just arrested me. I’m badly injured.”


Sources suggest that his arrest was due to his lack of response to several invitations from the commission following his accusations against the EFCC.


He was removed from a KLM flight bound for Amsterdam at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos and subsequently detained by immigration officials late Thursday night while attempting to depart for London, United Kingdom.


In a post via X, Seyi tackled EFCC for allowing Bobrisky to get on the plane before re-arresting him and questioned if any court had issued a travel restriction to the crossdresser.
