She stated that necessary measures have been taken, and relevant authorities have assured a stable electricity supply during the festive season.

Speaking to journalists about the recent prolonged blackout in the Epe division, Princess Animashaun said, “We are fully committed to ensuring Epe enjoys a reliable and steady power supply once again. To achieve this, my administration, alongside other relevant stakeholders, is working diligently to enhance power infrastructure and resolve the challenges causing the outages”.

While acknowledging the broader challenges in the nation’s power sector, she attributed the prolonged outages in the council largely to vandalism of power cables and infrastructure. “Efforts are underway to ensure Epe enjoys uninterrupted power during the festive season and beyond. Reliable electricity is essential for daily life and celebrations, and we are working tirelessly to provide a stable supply”, she reassured.

The Chairman expressed her gratitude to key individuals and organisations for their contributions toward addressing Epe’s electricity challenges including Hon. Wale Raji, Hon.
