 LASG PRESENTS STAFF OF OFFICE TO NEW ONIȘẸ OF ISE KINGDOM The Lagos State Government has presented the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to Prince Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, as His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, the Onise of Ise Kingdom in Lekki Local Government Area. The presentation was performed on Friday, August 21, 2026, by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, with the approval of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Executive Council, following the demise of the late Oba Ganiu Adebowale Adegbesan, Onise of Ise Kingdom. AN 80-YEAR-OLD WOMAN LOST HER LIFE AFTER BECOMING FULLY ENGULFED BY FLAMES WHILE ON HER MOBILITY SCOOTER. (PHOTO).

 An 80-year-old woman loses her life after becoming fully engulfed by flames while on her mobility scooter.


Marjorie Hible of Ely, Minnesota, tragically lost her life in a heartbreaking accident on January 6th. The initial call came into first responders at 4:38 p.m. from the Boundary Waters Care Center. 


The 911 call indicated a victim  had been outside on her mobility scooter when staff members saw her engulfed in flames. According to reports, Marjorie Hible was fully engulfed in flames before staff were able to reach her. They were able to get Marjorie off of the scooter and extinguish the flames, causing one staff member to suffer non-life threatening burns.


Marjorie Hible was rushed to a nearby hospital where she passed away as a result of her injuries. 


The fire is under investigation but preliminary findings indicate the fire was the result of smoking a cigarette.  Presumably open flame may have come into contact with oxygen, however that is purely speculation until an official report is released.


Our thoughts are with the family of Marjorie Hible as well as staff members of Boundary Waters Care Center.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
