 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. ARREST OF SELF-KIDNAPPER AND ACCOMPLICE

RECOVERY OF TWO MILLION NAIRA (#2,000,000) RANSOM


The command on 2/1/2025 received a complaint from One mrs Oliko Joy that her daughter Princess Okolie left the house on 30th December 2024 and did not return. The next day, the parents received a call that the daughter had been kidnapped and they demanded a ransom of two million naira. The Commissioner of Police CP Olufemi Abaniwonda immediately directed the command’s special Anti-kidnapping and cyber-crime squad to ensure that the victim is rescued unhurt and the suspect arrested. 


The commander special Anti-Kidnapping and Cyber-Crime Squad CSP Labe Joseph detailed operatives who embarked on an intelligence-led investigation. The other suspect, Prince Atigbi, was arrested after collecting a ransom of two million naira (#2,000,000). Upon the arrest of the suspect, he stated that he was not an actual kidnapper but was playing the script of his girlfriend Princess Okolie. The girl was arrested, and she said that she faked her kidnap so that they could get money from her parent. Both suspects are in custody, the ransom money recovered and the investigation is ongoing.


The Commissioner of Police urges parents and guardians to take the upbringing of their children seriously and in the ways of God so that when they grow up, they won’t be a problem to their parents and society.
