 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. BOY CHARGED AFTER ALLEGEDLY BRANDISHING TOMAHAWK AT MANDURAH FORUM. (PHOTO).

 Boy charged after allegedly brandishing tomahawk at Mandurah Forum.


A 15-year-old boy has been charged after allegedly chasing another juvenile through the Mandurah Forum while armed with a tomahawk.


The accused was allegedly involved in an altercation with a group of youths around 3.30pm on December 26.


He then allegedly armed himself with the axe and chased one of the teenagers.


The boy then left the area and was later arrested by police on December 27.


He has since been charged with being armed in a way that may cause fear.


The accused is due to appear in the Perth Children's Court on January 10.


"Proactive patrols of major shopping centres in the Mandurah district continue to be conducted by local police, including the utilisation of new scanning legislation for edged weapons," a WA Police spokesperson said.


"To date more than 100 scans have been conducted in the Mandurah area throughout designated zones."
