 Drones hit east Congo's biggest city, killing French aid worker, rebels and UN say Drone strikes hit Goma in east Congo ​on Wednesday, killing at least three people including a French aid worker, the ‌first such attack in the city since AFC/M23 rebels seized it last year, according to the group and the U.N. The AFC/M23 blamed the attack on the Congolese army, saying in a post on X that Kinshasa ​had launched drones against a densely populated urban area in the lakeside city. A senior official for U.N. children's agency UNICEF told Reuters ​that one of its employees, a French national, was killed. French President Emmanuel Macron and Hadja Lahbib, ​European Commissioner for equality, preparedness and crisis management, condemned the attack in posts on X, calling for respect for international humanitarian law and saying aid workers must never be targeted.  Burna Boy, Wizkid, Tems Nominated for 2025 NAACP Awards


Nigerian music icons Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Tems have received nominations for the 2025 NAACP Awards.


Other Nigerian nominees include actress Ayo Edebiri, who is recognized in multiple categories.


The 56th edition of the NAACP Awards will take place on February 22 at the Pasadena Civic Centre in California.


Wizkid earned two nominations for his collaboration with Brent Faiyaz on "Piece of My Heart," in the categories of Outstanding Duo or Collaboration and Outstanding International Song. Burna Boy and Usher were nominated for Best Collaboration for their track "Coming Home," while Tems’ "Love Me JeJe" earned her a spot in the Outstanding International Song category.


Ayo Edebiri is up for five nominations, including Outstanding Voiceover and Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series. South African singer Tyla is also nominated for Outstanding New Artist.
