 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  Burna Boy, Wizkid, Tems Nominated for 2025 NAACP Awards


Nigerian music icons Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Tems have received nominations for the 2025 NAACP Awards.


Other Nigerian nominees include actress Ayo Edebiri, who is recognized in multiple categories.


The 56th edition of the NAACP Awards will take place on February 22 at the Pasadena Civic Centre in California.


Wizkid earned two nominations for his collaboration with Brent Faiyaz on "Piece of My Heart," in the categories of Outstanding Duo or Collaboration and Outstanding International Song. Burna Boy and Usher were nominated for Best Collaboration for their track "Coming Home," while Tems’ "Love Me JeJe" earned her a spot in the Outstanding International Song category.


Ayo Edebiri is up for five nominations, including Outstanding Voiceover and Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series. South African singer Tyla is also nominated for Outstanding New Artist.
