The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed.  FEDERAL CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION OPENS PORTAL, BEGINS RECRUITMENT

The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has officially announced the commencement of recruitment exercises for various positions within the Federal Civil Service. This follows recent reports that had falsely claimed recruitment was already underway, prompting the commission to clarify and confirm that applications would be accepted starting now.


According to Tribune Online, the announcement was made on Monday via a statement from the Commission’s Head of Press and Public Relations, Taiwo Hassan. The statement outlined that interested and eligible Nigerians can apply for available positions through the commission’s official recruitment portal. The FCSC emphasized that applicants are only allowed to apply for one position.


The recruitment announcement includes detailed instructions on how to apply. The statement reads: “The Federal Civil Service Commission is receiving applications for various vacancies in the Federal Civil Service. The vacancy announcement is published on the commission’s website: www.fedcivilservice.gov.ng and in national newspapers.”


Eligible applicants are required to submit their applications by accessing the official recruitment portal at [recruitment.fedcivilservice.gov.ng](https://recruitment.fedcivilservice.gov.ng). The application portal is open to those who meet the necessary qualifications, and candidates must be careful to apply for just one position.


Applicants who are physically challenged are encouraged to indicate the nature of their disability when submitting their applications. The necessary documents for submission include:


1. Curriculum Vitae (CV)


2. Ph.D./Master’s Degree Certificate (where applicable)


3. Degree/HND/NCE Certificate


4. WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Certificate


5. Primary School Certificate


6. NYSC discharge/exemption/exclusion certificate


7. Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age


8. Local Government Identification


9. Recent Passport Photograph


The commission has set a deadline for all applications to be submitted on or before Monday, 10th March, 2025.


This recruitment initiative is a crucial step in enhancing the capacity and effectiveness of Nigeria’s Federal Civil Service, as it aims to fill various positions across the government sector.
