FRSC, NESREA Collaborate to Combat Vehicular Emissions and Promote Sustainability

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) have partnered to implement the ā€œNational Vehicular Emission Control Programmeā€ effectively.

This collaboration aims to tackle air pollution caused by vehicular emissions, a major threat to public health and the environment. By combining their expertise and resources, both agencies will drive the successful execution of the programme. A key aspect of this initiative is the integration of environmental emission standards into the ā€œFRSC driver training curriculumā€, ensuring drivers are well-informed about national emission regulations.

Additionally, the partnership will focus on ā€œpublic awareness campaignsā€ highlighting the dangers of using poorly maintained vehicles and their environmental and health consequences. To enhance enforcement, both agencies will share **intelligence and data** on vehicular emissions across Nigeria.

The FRSC and NESREA reaffirm their commitment to fostering a sustainable environment and safeguarding public health. This joint effort underscores their dedication to addressing air pollution and securing a healthier, more sustainable future for Nigeria.
