 Texas man arrested with 75 pounds of marijuana in luggage while flying to London, police say A Texas man was arrested at Miami International Airport after authorities found 75 pounds of marijuana in his luggage before he could board a flight to London. Harrison O’Neill Tiernan, 23, from Austin, was charged with cannabis trafficking. He was traveling to Heathrow Airport and had checked two suitcases for his British Airways flight. Inspectors discovered 65 vacuum-sealed packages containing a green, leafy substance later confirmed to be marijuana. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers stopped Tiernan while he attempted to board the flight, and he acknowledged that the bags were his. Authorities noted the inspections were part of broader efforts at the airport due to high outbound narcotics activity. In total, Tiernan was carrying 34.01 kilograms, or 74.98 pounds, of marijuana. Governor Sule Dissolves Cabinet, Removes SSG 


GOVERNMENT OF NASARAWA STATE PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT His Excellency,

 Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, Executive Governor of Nasarawa State has approved the dissolution of the Nasarawa State Executive Council with effect from Friday, 3rd January, 2025. Also affected is the relieve of the appointment of Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State. 2 By this development, all outgoing Commissioners are to handover the affairs of their Ministries and all Government property in their possession to the Permanent Secretaries of their respective Ministries. The Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State is to handover to the Permanent Secretary Cabinet Affairs and Special Services. 3 His Excellency, the Governor expresses his appreciation and gratitude to the outgoing Commissioners and the Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State for the services rendered to the Government and people of Nasarawa State and wishes them the best of luck in their future endeavours.
