Embattled Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau says he will resign after new party leader chosen Justin Trudeau has said he intends to step down after nine years as Canadian prime minister in the face of a mounting set of crises, leaving office once a new ruling party leader is chosen. “I intend to resign as party leader, as prime minister, after the party selects its new leader,” the 53-year-old leader told reporters at a news conference in Ottawa on Monday. “I care deeply about this country and I will always be motivated by what is in the best interests of Canadians. And the fact is, despite best efforts to work through it, parliament has been paralyzed for months after what has been the longest session of a minority parliament in Canadian history,” he said, adding that the country’s parliament will be suspended until March 24 while a new leader is chosen.  Mohbad: Naira Marley told me he owes late singer money – VeryDarkMan

Controversial social media activist, VeryDarkMan, has claimed that embattled rapper Naira Marley revealed to him that he owed his former signee, Mohbad, an undisclosed sum of money before the latter’s death.

Recall that Mohbad tragically passed away under controversial circumstances in September 2023 after exiting Naira Marley’s Marlian Music over the alleged failure of the record label to fulfill their contract agreement.

The controversial nature of his death led some people to point fingers at his former label boss, Naira Marley, and his associate, Sam Larry, who was captured in a viral video assaulting the late singer before his death.

The duo were arraigned and remanded on October 6, 2023, over their alleged involvement in circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death but were later granted bail after pleading not guilty.

Despite their not-guilty plea, some fans have continued to accuse them on social media and boycott Naira Marley’s music.

In a video message making the rounds on social media ahead of Mohbad’s 28th posthumous birthday, VeryDarkMan, who has been actively involved in the case, said he offered Naira Marley the opportunity to use his platform to further prove his innocence, but the rapper turned it down.

VeryDarkMan said: “I asked Naira Marley why he is not coming out to show the public his own evidence — the business side — because he clearly owed the boy [Mohbad] some money. He told me how much he owed the boy. It’s not a small amount of money.

“He told me how much he was supposed to give him and what caused their problem. He said their problem started when Mohbad began working outside the record label’s contract and requested to change the management the label provided for him. I then asked him to come out and explain to Nigerians what transpired between them, but he said God will fight his battles.”
