Nigeria's Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, has vowed to put an end to "Miracle Examination Centres" across the country.
These centres, often affiliated with private secondary schools, promise students success in exams, undermining the integrity of Nigeria's educational system.
According to Dr. Alausa, the Tinubu administration is determined to sanitise the education sector and tackle the menace of examination malpractice head-on.
The Minister emphasized that allowing cheating in exams disincentivizes hardworking students and undermines the quality of education.
To address this issue, the government has planned to train five universities, which will, in turn, train other public institutions nationwide. This move aims to improve the quality of Nigeria's tertiary education system.
Dr. Alausa stressed that the government will decisively tackle the problem of "miracle centres" and bring an end to the pervasive exam cheating that has invaded the educational system.
This effort is part of a broader initiative to restore integrity and excellence to Nigeria's education sector.
