VIRGINIA NEONATAL WARD IS COMPLETELY SHUTDOWN AFTER A MYSTERY ABUSER BREAKS BONES ON 7 SEPARATE PREMATURE BABIES IN THEIR CARE. (PHOTOS).

Virginia neonatal ward is completely shut down after a mystery abuser breaks bones on 7 separate premature babies in their care.

Henrico Doctor's Hospital in Richmond, Virginia has shut down their neonatal intensive care unit out of an abundance of caution. The ward is temporarily shut down as authorities and hospital administrators scramble to identify the sick individual accused of breaking bones on 7 premature babies.

This horrifying situation came to light in August of 2023 when Dominique and Tori Hackey welcomed twin boys into the world. During the twins subsequent stay in the neonatal ward, Dominique noticed his son's left leg was not moving and it was also discolored. After informing the staff of the potential injury, the child was examined and determined to have a serious fracture in his leg. The hospital chalked it up to "an accident" and said it may have been from a staff member "maybe giving an injection too hard."

However, the parents were not convinced and fearing that the incident could be turned around on them, they contacted child services.

Child services came back with the conclusion that the child had suffered level 1 physical abuse and determined it happened at the hands of an unknown hospital employee.

During the investigation it was revealed that this was not an isolated incident and a number of other babies had severe injuries after their stay in Henrico Doctor's Hospital Intensive Care Neonatal Ward.

After all of this came to light, the hospital began implementing preventative measures; such as cameras and additional training for staff.

After babies were reported injured yet again in both November and December of this year, the hospital made the decision to shut down the entire ward while investigators attempt to get to the bottom of these shocking incidents.

Now, in addition to hospital administration, the Virginia Staye Police, Henrico PD and the Henrico Common Wealth's Attorneys Ofice have joined the investigation to track down and bring to justice the mystery abuser at the hospital. The hospital is reviewing all video footage and have also turned all footage over to authorities.

The hospital has released the following statement online- "Out of an abundance of caution, we are not admitting any additional babies into our NICU at this time. While fractures occasionally happen with pre-term babies since they lack full fetal bone development,  we are actively working to determine how these fractures occurred."

Officials are working hard to find the individual that caused these fractures to the helpless premature babies.
