 KADIRS Warns Residents Against Fake Revenue Collectors, Introduces E-Demand Notice As Sole Payment Authorization The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has cautioned taxpayers and residents of Kaduna State against making revenue payments without first obtaining an official E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice), warning that fraudsters may exploit outdated payment processes to defraud the public. In a public announcement issued on Thursday, KADIRS said the move forms part of its ongoing efforts to automate revenue collection and enhance transparency across the state.  The agency disclosed that manual demand notices previously used for Local Government revenue collection have been phased out and are no longer recognized. According to KADIRS, the E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice) has officially replaced the former Local Government Harmonized Demand Notice and is now the only valid document for on-the-spot taxpayer assessment through the state's Central Billing System. ARREST OF STREET SOLAR LIGHTS VANDALS/THIEVES AND RECOVERY OF EXHIBITS. 


The Trans-Amadi Division of the  Rivers State Police Command,  on the 26th of January 2025 at about 0300hrs, acting on a credible piece of intelligence, has made a significant breakthrough in combating vandalism with the arrest of two suspects, caught  vandalizing and attempting to steal NDDC Street Solar Lights along Danjuma Drive, off Trans-Amadi road in Port- Harcourt.


 The suspects, Shaibu Yusuf 'm' aged 30yrs, an indigene of Bolari Town in Gombe LGA of Gombe State and Ibrahim Abubakar 'm' aged 28yrs, an indigene of Katsina LGA of Katsina State, but all resident at Okuru scrap dump, Abuloma Community, Port- Harcourt.


Items recovered from the suspects include:


 * Solar Light Poles,


* Solar Light Panels, 


* Solar Light  Panel Bolts,


* Solar Light Panel Nuts, 


* A  knife. 


The arrested suspects confessed to being part of a syndicate responsible for vandalizing and stealing Street Solar Lights and manhole covers in the area.


The suspects have been charged to court, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend other members of the syndicate to face justice accordingly.


This arrest is part of a larger effort to tackle vandalism and theft of Street Solar Lights and manhole covers in the state.
