South Korean police seek arrest warrant for Hybe chairman Bang Si-Hyuk over alleged $100 million investor fraud scheme    South Korean police are seeking an arrest warrant for Bang Si-Hyuk, the billionaire music executive behind K-pop powerhouse Hybe and BTS, as part of an expanding investigation into allegations that he improperly benefited from an investor scheme involving more than $100 million. Authorities said they have asked prosecutors to pursue a court warrant for Bang’s arrest as they continue probing claims that he misled investors in 2019. Investigators allege he told investors that Hybe had no plans for an initial public offering, leading them to sell shares to a private equity fund.  Hit-and-Run Driver Fatally Strikes FUNAAB Professor in Abeokuta

Residents of Ajebo Road Housing Estate, Kemta, Abeokuta, are mourning the tragic death of Professor Oladipo Ademuyiwa, a Biochemical Toxicology expert at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB). He was killed by a hit-and-run driver on the newly rehabilitated Kemta-Somorin road on Sunday.

Prof. Ademuyiwa, in his early 60s, had just stepped out of a cab and was attempting to cross the road when a speeding driver struck him and fled the scene.

Dr. Ayo Ajasa, Chairman of the Ajebo Road Housing Estate Community Development Association (CDA), described the professor’s death as preventable, blaming the government’s failure to install speed breakers despite multiple community appeals.

“This tragic incident highlights the urgent need for government intervention to prevent further loss of life,” Ajasa stated. “Despite repeated pleas, no action has been taken to implement necessary safety measures on this road.”

He urged the Ogun State government to install speed breakers, lorry barriers, and proper traffic signage to curb reckless driving. Ajasa also called for stricter law enforcement, warning that another accident occurred within 24 hours of the professor’s death, proving the road remains a danger to residents.

“We hold the government accountable and urge immediate action before more lives are lost,” he added, appealing to civil society and the media to amplify the call for safer roads.
