The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has cautioned candidates registering for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) to avoid unauthorized registration centers, warning that doing so could lead to the cancellation of their registration.
JAMB’s Public Relations Officer in Jigawa State, Mukarram Adamu, issued the warning in Dutse, revealing that 1,021 candidates have registered in Jigawa so far, out of a nationwide total of 201,867. He noted that registration is being conducted only at 12 approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers in the state.
Adamu emphasized that these approved CBT centers were established to ensure a smooth and fraud-free registration process, while preventing irregularities. He reassured candidates that JAMB is committed to making the process seamless and efficient.
As the registration exercise continues, Adamu expects the number of registered candidates to increase. He urged candidates to report any challenges or suspicious activities and reiterated the importance of using only approved centers to avoid disqualification.
JAMB also called on candidates to remain vigilant and report any malpractices or unauthorized registration centers to the appropriate authorities.
