SOLUDO BLASTS CRITICS OF AGUNECHEMBA, CALLS THEM SUPPORTERS OF CRIMINALS. (PHOTO).

Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo has lashed out at critics of the Agunechemba security outfit, accusing them of being supporters and accomplices of kidnappers, armed robbers, and other criminals in the state.

Speaking at the funeral mass for late Justice Azuka, a slain Labour Party member, Soludo vowed to ensure that the family of the late lawmaker would not lack anything, although he did not provide specifics on what support would be offered.

Soludo expressed shock at the rising violence among youths, citing instances where kidnappers kill their victims despite receiving ransom payments. He emphasized the need to condemn such actions and ensure they are stopped.

The governor defended the Agunechemba security outfit, saying that critics are likely those who celebrate and support kidnappers and armed robbers. He reiterated his administration's commitment to making Anambra the most secure state in Nigeria.

Soludo also warned against the use of traditional worship to protect kidnappers and armed robbers, stating that such practices would not be tolerated in the state. He praised the Asagba of Asagba, Prof. Epiphany Azinge, for his efforts in checking crime in Asaba and encouraged traditional rulers in Anambra to follow suit.
