 Mark Consuelos details 'brutal five-month saga' before his father's death: 'I miss my dad' Mark Consuelos has spoken candidly about the loss of his father, Saul Consuelos, who passed away on March 23 after a long illness.  Appearing on the I’ve Never Said This Before with Tommy DiDario podcast, the Live with Kelly and Mark co-host reflected on the painful five-month period leading up to his father’s death.  He recalled knowing the end was near but admitted that the reality of the loss still hit him hard.  Consuelos shared that he was able to say goodbye while working on the Broadway play Fallen Angels, and though he later learned of his father’s passing during rehearsals, the production served as a welcome distraction.  Toyin Tofade: First Black Female President of a U.S. College, Leading Transformative Change


Dr. Toyin Tofade made history in July 2022 as the first Black female president of Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS). Since assuming office, she has introduced transformative initiatives to strengthen the college’s future.


Under her leadership, ACPHS launched a strategic plan and ACPHS Online in March 2024, restructured academic units, implemented a leadership program, and fostered an entrepreneurial mindset. Her efforts have significantly boosted enrollment, with total applications rising by 18.58%, deposits increasing by 35.03%, and transfer admissions soaring by 714.29%. Additionally, ACPHS expanded its academic offerings, introducing seven new degree programs.


Before ACPHS, Dr. Tofade held key leadership roles at Howard University, the University of Maryland, and UNC hospitals. She has been a trailblazer in pharmacy leadership, serving as the first Black woman president of the International Pharmacy Federation (FIP) Academic Pharmacy Section.


Recognized for her contributions, she has received numerous awards, including Albany Business Review’s Power 50 Executive honor, ASHP’s Donald E. Francke Medal, and UNC Pharmacy Alumni Association’s Distinguished Service Award.


Dr. Tofade holds a BPharm from Obafemi Awolowo University, an MS in Pharmacy Practice, and a PharmD from UNC Chapel Hill, with additional leadership training from Harvard Kennedy School and Penn State.
