Authorities in Williamsburg, Kentucky were called to a funeral home on Friday. They were initially notified of a heavily armed man threatening people who were attending the funeral.
Once on scene, officers were able to take 49-year-old Daniel Graiber into custody. Authorities said Graiber "had traveled from Illinois to Williamsburg in order to confront the attendees of the funeral". Authorities stated Graiber stopped at 2 separate gun stores on his way to Williamsburg and attempted to buy a 100 count magazine drum.
When Graiber arrived at the funeral home, he allegedly began asking employees "when the family of the deceased would arrive". He had also told people on scene he was affiliated with several different law enforcement agencies.
When Graiber was taken into custody police uncovered a ballistic vest, 3 handguns, multiple magazines and ammunition as well as a baton. Police also found suspected hydrocodone pills.
There is no report on a motive and no official charges have been filed.
The case is being investigated by Williamsburg PD and the FBI.
